To learn about Mexican Mytholgy, starting with the Creation Myths through the mythology of different mexican cultures.
First of all, let me start with some background.
I am Prof. Ulol, mexican, a 43 year old wizard. I have lived for 28 years in the Yucatan Peninsula, land of the Mayas full with legends. Since I was a little wizard in the most crowded city in the world (Mexico City), trying to hex my grumpy neighbour because she didn't want to give me back my ball, I started to learn about the myths and legends of my country from my old nanny, an old woman that was part witch part kitchener (she cooked like the angels). As I grew up I devoured every book about this subject and never lost the interest about the beautiful tales that the old ladies told the little kids to scare them if they didn't behave.
So this is it, this is why I want to share with you the richness of Mexican Mythology. Hope you enjoy learning as I will enjoy teaching you.
Registration for this class begins August 18th, and will end September 21st, 2008. To receive a QUILL for this class, you must complete 2 of the 4 assignments AND the final exam. The Extra Credit assignment is voluntary, but it is an excellent opportunity for you to earn extra points.
Pay careful attention to the due dates for these assignments, because late work will NOT be accepted.
