for protection, the Celtic Knot. Within each Knot there is an amethyst
crystal.

attach them to the wand. Two of the feathers are raven feathers, while one of

a flowering vine that enwraps part of the wand. On each leaf I attached an
amethyst crystal.

2) Wood: I took a twig from a Rubber Tree that lives in the back of my house. I went there and asked for a twig to make a wand and I found it amidst the fallen leaves.
3) Size: 52 centimeters (about 20.5 inches)
4) Colours: Mainly brown (with darker and lighter hues). One white cord making a helix along the wand. "Above" the handle, it's painted my name, THOTH VAN, in blue Norse Runes , surrounded by a green rectangle.
5) Shape: almost cylindrical, but irregular. It came from a Rubber Tree twig.
6) Description of the Tip: It has two stones: a hematite (good for its electromagnetic properties) and a transparent crystal (good for its optical properties).
7) Description of the Handle: In the end, there's a green glass ball, with three "sheets" inside: one red, one blue and one light green; a brown coconut tree ring; the handle is made of two black leather cords and one silver stretching-cloth cords, braided together. At the "top" of the handle, there's a blue stone.
8) Accessories used: Besides the material already mentioned, three other stones, one green, one purple and one black, put each into one loop of the white cord, between the Runes and the tip. So, I added a total of five stones, one crystal and one glass ball (totalizing 7, the more powerful magical number, to make the wand more powerful).
9) Magical Abilities: This wand is excellent for Transfiguration and is good for Charms. The stones and the white cord help to focalize and concentrate the magical energy for these spells.

1) Wood: The wood used in the creation of my wand was Myrtlewood.
2) Size: My wand measures fifteen inches in length, from end to end. The wand tip measures the majority of said length. (38 centimeters)
3) Colour(s): Myrtlewood is a very lightly coloured wood, typically of a creamy white to mother-of-pearl cream. It has fine grain striations which add to it's simplistic elegance.
4) Shape description: The overall shape of the wand is indicative of the examples shown on the introductory page of the workshop. I wanted to emphasize a turned style of wand, with the slight overtones of something that had ben hand carved with a knife as well. Thus, to that end, I used both techniques.
5) Description of the tip: The tip end of the wand tapers slightly and ends in a rounded tip, this effect helps to draw the eye along the entirety of the wand allowing the viewer to fully encompass it.
6) Description of the handle: The handle is a simplistic rounded handle, with a beveled inset, allowing for a more comfortable gripping.
7) Accesories used: Leather cording and white feathers were used as the accessories to my wand. After submitting my third assignment, I found I was dissatisfied with it's overall appearance. To that end, I removed a majority of the leather cording, and removed the epoxy holding the feathers in place. I rewrapped the cording, focusing more on the central area of the handle, and reaffixed the feathers with a light epoxy, allowing for more fluid movement of hand-wand coordination.
8) Magical abilities: The magical properties inherent in Myrtlewood lies in it's abilities linked with Immortality and Love. Love of life, others, romance, ideas, ideals, beliefs, etc. Myrtlewood is also a rare wood, only growing in two places in the world, and as such, holds high esteem within the two regions in which it grows. It was a sacred wood to the Native American tribes of the Pacific Northwest, and to the Ancient Tribes of Israel, in which the tree grows near the Dead Sea.

1) Wood: The wood it was made of comes from a soft maple that my grandpa planted when he lived in my house.
2) Size: The length of my wand when it was finished ended up being about 13.5 inches. (34 centimeters)
3) Colour(s): I left my wand the natural color; the white wood looked quite beautiful as it was.
4) Shape description: My wand's shape is pretty straight, except there's a slight curve to it at the handle. The curve makes it nicer to hold.
5) Description of the tip: The tip of my wand doesn't have anything special, it's just sanded down to be rounded at the end.
6) Description of the handle: My wand's handle is more unique. It has a burned design into it that I did myself. I also used silver wire to compliment to the handle.
7) Accesories used: The only other accesories that I used were the dangling beads I added to the handle.
8) Magical abilities: My wand would be best used for spells of creation, healing, binding, and revolution.
